Abstract
An intraoperative ultrasonographically guided introduction of a balloon catheter into labor or smaller branches of the portal vein within the liver parenchyma made it possible to temporarily occlude them and perform regional staining during resection for tumors. The technique minimized blood loss without hilar dissection for vascular control, and the presence of the catheter facilitated intraparenchymal dissection of the portal stalk to the part of the liver to be resected.Entities:
