Abstract
Structural investigation of the capsular antigen from Haemophilus influenzae type a has shown it to be composed of 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-D-ribitol residues joined through phosphoric diester linkages between O-4 of D-glucose and O-5 of D-ribitol. Chemical degradations and 13C-n.m.r. spectroscopy were the main methods used.Entities:
