[Aging-related frailty and sarcopenia. The relationship between "inflammaging" and frailty/sarcopenia.]

Mitsutaka Yakabe1.

Abstract

Aging is associated with a rise in serum levels of inflammatory markers. This chronic, low-grade inflammation is termed as "inflammaging", which might be involved in the pathogenesis of frailty/sarcopenia. Some clinical studies suggest the relationship between inflammation and frailty/sarcopenia.
