Abstract
Oesophageal perforation is a severe life-threatening clinical condition with high mortality and morbidity needing rapid interdisciplinary approach to be effectively managed. Recently, on the basis of multicentric retrospective data, we proposed a decision tree for the treatment of oesophageal perforations based on the Pittsburgh Perforation Severity Score (PSS). We now report the first case of a traumatic oesophageal perforation, which was successfully treated according to the application of the PSS decision tree.Entities:
