Abstract

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are synonymous with post-transcriptional repression of target genes. A number of studies, however, have reported miRNAs functioning outside this paradigm, and this SnapShot outlines these unconventional ways in which miRNAs can exert regulatory functions.
