Communication, Education and Public Information for Radiological Emergencies: What Is Next?

Jessica Wieder.

Abstract

The chairs of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP) 2017 Annual Meeting, Assessment of National Efforts in Emergency Preparedness for Nuclear Terrorism: Is There a Need for Realignment to Close Remaining Gaps?, tasked the members of each session to identify and prioritize preparedness activities that will have the most positive effect during a response. The Communication, Education and Public Information Panel identified five priority action areas that we believe NCRP and its members can actively work toward for increased effectiveness in public communication after a radiological or nuclear emergency.Health Phys. 000(0):000-000; 0000.
