Abstract
A review of literature on the dissection of internal carotid artery was presented with a presentation of a rare case of patient with transient left hypoglossal nerve palsy caused by mechanic compression from intramural hematoma in higher extracranial portion of dissected carotid artery confirmed in MRI and CT scans. The clinical presentation and management are discussed.Entities:
