Abstract
A nine-year-old boy from the Central African Republic presented with an enlarged cervical lymph node. Biopsy revealed Kaposi's sarcoma. Lymphocyte subsets and reactivity to all antigens tested were normal, and the patient's serum contained no antibodies against LAV or HTLV3, the viruses presumably responsible for AIDS. We conclude that in this case, the lymphadenopathic form of Kaposi's sarcoma was not related to AIDS.Entities:
