Abstract
It is essential to establish clonal cultures of microalgae for use in studies of various topics, such as physiology, genetics, taxonomy, and microbiology. Thus, it is extremely important to develop techniques to establish clonal cultures. In this article, we demonstrate the establishment of clonal cultures of a conjugating alga. Water samples are collected from the field. Subsequently, cells are isolated using a glass capillary pipette, placed in media, and grown under conditions suitable for generating a clonal culture.Entities:
