Abstract
A series of postpartum Streptococcus pyogenes infections prompted an investigation to rule out potential transmission by a health care worker. None of the hospital staff screened were colonized. All isolates were determined to be unrelated by molecular methods, including whole-genome sequencing. Thus, nosocomial transmission was considered unlikely.Entities:
