Abstract
BACKGROUND: The pneumococcal urinary antigen test (UAT) has been known to improve sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of pneumococcal pneumonia. Associations of UAT results with prognosis in community acquired pneumonia (CAP) are not known. We hypothesized that positive UAT is associated with a good prognosis, and incorporation of UAT into CRB65 would improve its prognostic performance.Entities:
