Figure 1Humerus non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in rapid progress in a 64-year-old female. (a) Posteroanterior X-ray films of the right shoulder in December 2015 revealed mild osteoarthritis without any obvious destruction of bone. (b) Posteroanterior X-ray films of the right shoulder in February 2016 revealed distinctly expansive bone destruction in the upper right humerus. (c) Bone scintigraphy indicated the skeletal abnormality of right upper humerus, with high suspicion of malignant tumor. (d) Histopathology revealed a diffuse proliferation of large lymphoid cells with irregular round or pleomorphic nuclei (hematoxylin and eosin, original magnification, ×10). (e–g) FDG-PET/CT demonstrated the locally hypermetabolic lesions of the right humerus and multiple hypermetabolic lymph nodes in March 2016. (h) FDG-PET/CT demonstrated the range of locally hypermetabolic lesions of the right humerus and the metabolic activity were reduced significantly and the enlarged lymph nodes were not seen around the lesion in November 2017. FDG-PET/CT: Fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography.
