Abstract

Sitting radiographs are a valuable tool to consider the thoracic compensatory mechanism in patients who are candidates for thoracolumbar correction surgery.

Entities:

Keywords:  ASD = adult spinal deformity; LPA = lumbar pelvic angle; PI-LL mismatch = pelvic incidence–lumbar lordosis mismatch; PJK = proximal junctional kyphosis; PT = pelvic tilt; SVA = sagittal vertical axis; TC = thoracic compensation; TK = T2–12 kyphosis; TLD = thoracolumbar deformity; TLPA = T1–L1 pelvic angle; TPA = T1 pelvic angle; UIV = upper instrumented vertebra; preoperative planning; sitting radiographs; spinal deformity; thoracolumbar correction surgery
