Abstract
A simple, reproducible method for the large-scale purification of active ubiquitin from human erythrocytes is described. Erythrocytes contain 100 micrograms free ubiquitin per cc of packed cells, of which 44% can be recovered in homogeneous form by a combination of heat treatment, ammonium sulfate fractionation, and ion exchange chromatography.Entities:
