Abstract
This study evaluated the effects of nicardipine, following intravenous infusion and oral administration, on the pressor and aldosterone responses to infused angiotensin II. Six healthy, normotensive male subjects were studied. Following administration of nicardipine, no significant change in blood pressure was seen. Nicardipine attenuated the pressor response produced by intravenous administration of angiotensin. Nicardipine did not inhibit the aldosterone response to angiotensin.Entities:
