Abstract
In 2 previously healthy groups of 14 children and 17 adults with cytomegalovirus mononucleosis, significant clinical differences were observed. Cervical lymphadenopathy, hepatomegaly and lymphocytosis (greater than 5000/microliter) were more common in children and protracted fever more common in adults. Exudative tonsillitis indistinguishable from infectious mononucleosis was sometimes seen in children but never in adults.Entities:
