Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To determine whether vitamin D-binding protein (VDBP) in cervicovaginal fluid (CVF) is independently predictive of intra-amniotic infection and imminent spontaneous preterm delivery (SPTD, delivery within 48 hours) in women with preterm labor with intact membranes (PTL) or preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM).Entities:

aData for the histologic evaluation of the placenta were available in 94 (91.2%) of the 103 women because in eight cases, the delivery took place at another institution, and in one case, histologic evaluation of the placenta was not performed because of our institutional policy that only the placentas in cases of preterm delivery are to be sent for histopathologic examination.
