Abstract
An immunoassay has been developed to detect anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibodies in human sera. Various plating conditions, types of microtiter plates, and the use of biotinylated or peroxidase-labeled secondary antibodies were examined. The described assay is reliable, fast, and convenient. Sera with positive reactivity in anti-GBM nephritis and Goodpasture's syndrome are readily discriminated from sera obtained from normal individuals or patients with a variety of other diseases.Entities:
