Abstract
Ciprofloxacin, a very common antibiotic used in our day-to-day practice can cause adverse cutaneous reactions in 1-2% of patients. Photosensitivity, urticaria and maculopapular rash are the usual skin reactions. Fixed drug eruption (FDE) is an uncommon side effect of ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin-induced generalised bullous FDEs have been very rarely reported in the literature. We report one such case of a young man who developed generalised non-bullous FDEs after treatment with ciprofloxacin. © BMJ Publishing Group Ltd (unless otherwise stated in the text of the article) 2018.
