Significant value (p < 0.05); plasmatic iron concentration at 48 hours was significantly lower than that at 24 hours. Reference ranges: plasmatic iron, 0.055 - 0.16mg/dL; cerebrospinal fluid iron, 0.01 - 0.02pg/mL; plasmatic heme, 119.34 ± 6.12mg/dL; cerebrospinal fluid heme, negligible.
