Abstract
Transition state analogues of the peptide hydrolysis intermediate can take the form of complex silanediols such as 1, which inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) at nanomolar concentrations. In contrast, earlier investigation of enzyme inhibition with simple silanediols and silanetriols showed them to be inactive. © 1998 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH, Weinheim, Fed. Rep. of Germany.Entities:
