Abstract
Cyclic radical cations Met-(S…︁█+ N) of methionine could play an important role in processes such as long-range electron transfer across cell membranes and oxidative damage to cells. CIDNP spectroscopy (CIDNP = chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization) furnishes direct structural proof and allows experimental investigation of the spin-density distribution in the two-center three-electron bonds. © 1998 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH, Weinheim, Fed.
