Abstract
Thermal dehydration promotes the topochemical conversion of the hydrogen-bonded dimeric complex [{Zn(sala)(H2 O)2 }2 ]⋅2 H2 O (H2 (sala)=N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-L-alanine) to generate covalent [{Zn(sala)}n ].
