Abstract
In ten patients suffering from previously untreated, advanced, non-metastatic prostatic carcinoma, the effect of MPA on the hormonal parameters of testosterone and luteinizing hormone (LH) was examined. The dosage of MPA amounted to 500 mg i.m. daily for a week. Thereafter 1000 mg i.m. every four weeks were applied. Full castration could be achieved in all patients, and this effect could be kept up during the time of observation. The tolerance was good, there were no side effects.Entities:
