Abstract
With normal aging, there are increased numbers of globally sclerotic glomeruli. Global glomerulosclerosis is also a feature of chronic kidney disease. In this issue, Hommos and colleagues provide data on the fraction of globally sclerotic glomeruli in healthy kidney donor biopsies. This provides reference for evaluation of whether isolated global glomerulosclerosis is evidence of pathology. Published by Elsevier Inc.Entities:
