Abstract
Primary muscular hydatidosis is a very rare condition with an incidence of 1%-4% in endemic regions. This case report describes an unusual location of hydatid cyst in the sartorius muscle and the application of imaging in its preoperative diagnosis, choosing a treatment strategy, and monitoring.Entities:

Figure 1Axial T1-weighted (a), fat-suppressed T2-weighted (b), coronal T1-weighted (c) and fat-suppressed T2-weighted images (d) demonstrate a large cystic lesion containing the smaller round cysts, low signal in T1-weighted, and high signal T2-weighted in anteromedial of proximal of the left thigh arising from the sartorius muscle
