It has been brought to the attention of the Editor-in-Chief that the article entitled “Annals of Cardiac Anesthesia: Beacon Journey toward Excellence: 2015–2017” published in Annals of Cardiac Anesthesia (ACA) on pages 1-3, Issue 1, Volume 20, 2017[1], which was an editorial by the previous editor-in-chief Dr. Poonam Malhotra Kapoor, who has conflict of interest with many of the past editors of ACA. There were also some corrections to this editorial for which an erratum[2] was published. This article has been retracted as the consequence of the recommendations of the advisory committee constituted by the Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (IACTA), the owners of ACA. Further up, the recommendations of the committee were ratified by the General Body Meeting of IACTA on 3rd of February 2018 at Hyderabad, India.This article has been retracted as per request made by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board of the journal.Editor-in-ChiefAnnals of Cardiac Anesthesia
