Abstract
Ulcer perforation in the excluded stomach and duodenum is a rare complication after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). Pathogenesis of these ulcers are multifactorial. We report a case of perforated gastric remnant ulcer in a 54-year-old woman who had undergone a laparoscopic RYGB 5 years previously. The perforation was successfully repaired with an omental patch. We also present a review of the literature of similar cases. © BMJ Publishing Group Ltd (unless otherwise stated in the text of the article) 2018. All rights reserved.
