Amyloid (AL) in an octogenarian diagnosed by abdominal wall fat biopsy.

Abstract

Systemic amyloid (AL) was diagnosed by abdominal wall fat biopsy in an 81 year old woman presenting with severe postural hypotension. The advantages of this little-used diagnostic method are discussed.
