Abstract
Percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation has significantly advanced in the past 2 decades. LAAO has emerged as a feasible and safe alternative to oral anticoagulants in patients who are deemed high risk for bleeding or are ineligible to receive anticoagulation. Herein, the authors review the main design features of the AMPLATZER Amulet device and describe step-by-step technical considerations for implantation of this LAAO device.Entities:
