Abstract
One hundred nine thyroid nodules were studied by fine needle aspiration cytology and were compared with the histologic sections of these lesions. The correlation of diagnoses between the two techniques proved to be comparable, and the results showed a low incidence of false-negative and flase-positive diagnoses. The criteria and merits of the fine needle aspiration cytology technique used in diagnosing thyroid lesions are presented.Entities:
