Abstract
Twenty-one patients with major affective disorder were given the Halstead-Reitan Category Test and had CT brain scans performed in order to measure ventricular-brain ratio (VBR). A significant correlation between ventricular size and cognitive impairment was found. Possible pathophysiological mechanisms that might explain this relationship are discussed.Entities:
