Abstract
BACKGROUND: The American Heart Association (AHA) has implemented several programs to educate the public about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). A common issue in bystander CPR is the fear of hurting the victim. As a result, the victim may not receive CPR in time. The questionnaire included 10 positive and 10 negative emotions (a total of 20). Subjects rated how greatly they felt each emotion based on a given scenario. Highlighted emotions are positive, and non-highlighted emotions are negative.
