Backward connections of the dominant and their role in goal-directed behaviour.

R A Pavlygin, A K Malikova.

Abstract

A study of the different types of the dominant focus under conditions of their testing by a stimulus, eliciting an unconditioned reflex revealed the presence of backward connections between the centers. The behaviour of animals, goal-directed to the interruption of the dominant state in the CNS is realized by activation of backward connections.
