Abstract
Paramedics are a new group of professionals among the medical professions aimed to save lives and health of the injured. The nature of the work, intensity of the actions, decision-making, struggle for life and health of the patients often in difficult and extreme conditions exposes this group to stress and broadly understood trauma. The paper describes the nature of work in the profession of a paramedic and outlines both negative and positive consequences, that may result from frequent experience of traumatic events connected with performing workEntities:
