Abstract
A case of a systemic reaction in an operating room nurse to methylmethacrylate is reported. The reaction was marked by hypertension, dyspnea, and generalized erythroderma; the patient made an uneventful recovery. A review of the toxicologic and epidemiologic literature on methylmethacrylate monomers shows that they affect the nervous cardiovascular, cutaneous, gastrointestinal, and respiratory systems.Entities:
