Arthroplasty via intermediate phalangectomy. Partial or complete.

Abstract

The intermediate phalangectomy is discussed as an alternative to resection of the head of the proximal phalanx when surgically addressing the hammered digit syndrome. Its use in several other clinical settings is presented along with its contraindications and potential complications.
