The significance of small wounds of the eyelids.

Abstract

A case of a small eyelid wound associated with a retained foreign body within the orbit is presented. The significance of small eyelid lacerations in relation to minor initial clinical signs and possible serious late complications is discussed, and suggestions are made for management of all such injuries.
