Abstract
Eleven previously undescribed sesquiterpenoids, arvestolides D-J, arvestonates A-C, and arvestonol were isolated from the aerial parts of Artemisia vestita W. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of HRMS, UV, IR, and NMR spectroscopic data, and the absolute configurations were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, empirical rules, and comparison of calculated and experimental ECD data. Arvestolides H and I showed inhibitory effects on nitric oxide production in BV-2 cells induced by lipopolysaccharide with IC50 values of 43.2 and 39.9 μM, respectively.Entities:
