Adhesion of E. coli O157:H7 activates PKA through translocated intimin receptor (Tir), which inhibits endoplasmic reticulum stress, and blocks autophagosome formation. Activation of autophagy disturbs the adhesion of E. coli O157:H7 to host cells with an undetermined mechanism.
