Abstract
We describe successful percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of a gortex-right external carotid artery anastomotic stricture in a 49-year-old man with amaurosis fugax and occlusion of the right internal carotid artery. No neurological complications occurred during the procedure. The patient had had three previous carotid operations, and PTA enabled successful transcranial arterial bypass surgery to be carried out, with complete relief of symptoms.Entities:
