[Magnetic resonance cisternography].

U Yilmaz1.

Abstract

CLINICAL/METHODICAL ISSUE: Conventional MRI can be insufficient to depict certain pathologies of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-filled spaces. STANDARD RADIOLOGICAL
METHODS: 3-D T2-weighted sequences and phase-contrast imaging have a high sensitivity for pathologies of the CSF-filled spaces, but are susceptible to artifacts in some cases. METHODICAL INNOVATIONS/PERFORMANCE: Magnetic resonance (MR) cisternography directly depicts the connection between CSF-filled spaces.
