Abstract
A retrospective study on anisakiasis was carried out in France with 32 laboratories specializing in parasitology. During January 1985-September 1987, 21 cases of anisakiasis were diagnosed and confirmed by parasitological identification or serology. Various fish species were involved. Although anisakiasis is not a major public health problem, there is a need for regulation in the fish industry and for consumer information.Entities:
