Abstract
Conventional and implant prosthetics have benefited from recent advances in digital dentistry. Intraoral scanning devices can generate files that can be used for the design and milling of implant prosthetics both in the office and out of the office in the dental laboratory. This article will discuss the rationale for clinicians to consider the benefits of using intraoral scanners in their offices to provide patients with a unique experience in contrast to conventional elastomeric impression techniques.Entities:
