Tumor Side as Model of Integrative Molecular Classification of Colorectal Cancer.

Rodrigo Dienstmann1,2.

Abstract

It has long since been recognized that colorectal cancer is molecularly heterogeneous and its clinical behavior differs if the primary tumor was located in the right or left side of the colon. Recent studies have shown that part of this heterogeneity is captured by the anatomic location of the tumor.
