Figure 2Level of anti-α-Gal IgM and IgG antibodies in healthy individuals from Africa and Europe. The figure displays the level of anti-α-Gal IgM and IgG in individuals from Senegal (Africa) and Portugal and Spain (Iberian Peninsula, Europe). Anti-α-Gal IgM and IgG antibody levels (O.D. 450 nm) were determined by ELISA in sera from healthy adults (7). The level of both immunoglobulins was significantly higher in African individuals.
