Abstract
Globally 6100 species of the Order Thysanoptera are reported, of which 739 are known from India (Tyagi & Kumar 2016). The purpose here is to describe from India one new species and record for the first time from this country four other species, representing three different families, and full nomenclatural details are available at ThripsWiki (2017). From three of the species, including the holotype of the new species, DNA was isolated and amplification of partial fragment of mtCOI gene was performed (Tyagi et al. 2017) with the sequences submitted to the Barcode of Life Database. Photographs and illustrations were taken through a Leica Trinocular Microscope (Leica DM-1000) using Leica software application suite (LAS EZ 2.1.0). Voucher specimens, also the new holotype, are deposited in the National Zoological Collections (NZC), Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata, India.Entities:
