Abstract
BACKGROUND: The etiology of childhood cancer is not well understood, but may be linked to prenatal and perinatal factors, such as maternal diabetes. However, this association has not been examined in depth. We aimed to determine if maternal diabetes is associated with risk of childhood brain tumor (CBT), leukemia (all types combined and acute lymphoblastic leukemia [ALL] separately), and lymphoma.Entities:

Notes:
Highest attained parental education was taken from LISA for all parents included in LISA at any time between 1990 and 2014. For parents who were not included in LISA during this period we used information on education from the census in 1970.
Data only available from 1983 onwards.
