Abstract
Hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) continue to represent the most common nosocomial-associated infections, resulting in significant attributable mortality, increased length of hospital stay, and financial burden.1 The updated Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) guidelines provide guidance on the diagnosis and management of nonimmunocompromised hosts with HAP and VAP.Entities:
