A training system for first and solo assistants in microsurgery.

1. A system to train nurses to be first and solo assistants of microsurgery has been practiced in our hospital for the past 13 years. 2. Under our unique weekly rotation system, nurses are educated to be all-around nurses. Microsurgical assistance is only one of approximately eight sections of the rotation. 3. Under this system, nurses can become extremely efficient solo assistants after 3 years.
